L. JoAnn Moore - Artist Statement

My paintings develop as an interpretation of nature or as a response to some otherwise poignant experience. They evolve through layers of texture and color. Impressionistic expression in acrylic painting is my medium… a way to convey my fascination with the environment and life. My study and degrees in Geology and Architecture also influence the way I meld color and texture, contributing a formed, yet organic and primal atmosphere to my work.
